FixRefund.com is a platform that helps air passengers claim legal compensation for flight disruptions (cancellations, delays, denied boarding, and other issues involving airline companies). We invest considerable effort in making our organization and our website accessible to people with disabilities, in order to promote equal rights and transparency toward people with disabilities. We want every user, including users with disabilities, to reach information about their rights and to exercise them with the same level of ease as all other visitors. FixRefund is committed to, and acts toward, promoting equal digital opportunity on the internet for people with diverse disabilities and/or those who rely on assistive technologies to use a computer.

The Essence of an Accessible Website

An accessible website is a website that enables a person with a disability to browse with the same level of efficiency and enjoyment as other users, by using the capabilities of the system on which it operates and by means of assistive accessibility technologies.

Accessibility Icon

The icon (symbol) is placed on websites where the necessary adjustments have been made to make them accessible to people with disabilities. The purpose of placing the icon is to promote public awareness of internet accessibility and to inform the site’s visitors of its degree of accessibility; clicking it opens advanced options for using the site in an accessible manner.

Implementation of Accessibility Adjustments on the Website

The accessibility adjustments on the website were made in accordance with Chapter C: Internet Services, of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments for Service), 5773-2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines. The website has been made accessible to Level AA, subject to any changes and adjustments made in the Israeli standard document.

The website supports the use of assistive technologies such as screen-reading software, keyboard browsing using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys to move between links, the arrow keys, the Enter key for selection, the Esc key to exit menus and windows, and pressing H or a number to move between headings. The website is also adapted for display in the common browsers and for use on mobile phones. The highest level of compatibility is with the Google Chrome browser.

We want to emphasize that making the website accessible is not a one-time action but an ongoing effort: we continually work to maintain and keep all of the website’s pages accessible at this level, and occasional inconsistencies with full AA accessibility may still occur. We therefore attach great importance to being contacted about any accessibility issue you encounter, and we are committed to addressing and correcting it within the time frame available to us under Israeli law.

Partial Compliance Statement Regarding Third-Party Content

On some of the website’s pages, content and components operated by third parties that are not owned by the organization are embedded – for example, the flight-data verification component (Flight Data API), and forms and payment/ID-verification processes integrated with external systems. The accessibility of these pages and components depends, in part, on the third party operating them, and we therefore declare partial compliance with the standard with respect to these pages.

Corrections That Have Been Made

This website has undergone rigorous accessibility adjustments, including, among others, semantic and informative implementation for assistive technologies, keyboard-only navigation and operation in line with the recommendations of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), color adjustments, and the addition of helper labels and instructions in forms for the benefit of all users. In addition, for the best browsing experience with screen-reading software, we recommend using the most up-to-date version of NVDA software.

Some of the Things That Have Been Done on the Website

We added an accessibility assistive component (Pluro.ai), which enables, among other things: control over font sizes, block-skipping, guidance texts for the NVDA and JAWS screen readers, keyboard navigation that makes it easier to browse the site without using a mouse, adjustments for the site’s compatibility with the NVDA and JAWS screen readers, comfortable black-and-white viewing / color contrast, blocking animation and any moving component on the site, and highlighting links.

For the best browsing experience with screen-reading software, we recommend using the most up-to-date version of NVDA and the Google Chrome browser.

It should be noted that despite our efforts to make all of the website’s pages accessible, attached documents (such as PDF, Word, Excel) and video files are still in the process of being made accessible, and we are working to complete this.

If you need a document that appears on the website and it is not accessible, please contact us with a link to its location and we will attend to it as soon as possible.

If you have found a component or page on the website that is not accessible, we would be glad for you to contact us and we will make sure to correct it as soon as possible.

Accessibility of the Premises

The business operates online only – with no offices, branches, or walk-in reception. Accordingly, there are no physical accessibility arrangements (parking, building access, accessible restrooms, wide passageways, directional signage, or an elevator) to specify.

Contact Us

If you encounter an accessibility problem while browsing the website, we would be glad if you reported it to us; we will make an effort to find a suitable solution for you and will make sure to correct the issue as soon as possible.
